James and Cathy’s New Roof

James and Cathy Before 1

James and Cathy’s before improvements

James and Cathy had several exterior projects in mind when they contacted Quinta Contractors, LLC.  First and foremost of was the roof.  The shingles showed major signs of age and de-lamination and needed to be replaced soon to avoid any future leaks.  The home had 20 year three tab shingles.  James elected to upgrade to 30 year architectural shingles (also called dimensional shingles).

The next issue raising concern were the galvanized gutters.  Galvanized gutters are truly a thing of the past.  We removed their existing gutters and down spouts and replaced them with seamless aluminum gutters and down spouts.  The color white was selected to match the final element of this exterior home improvement project: namely, vinyl siding.

We made the necessary repairs to the fascia, freeze boards, and soffits.  Quinta installers then installed premium vinyl siding to the walls and soffits, followed by vinyl coated aluminum which was custom fabricated on site applied to the fascia and freeze boards.

The new asphalt shingles, vinyl siding, and gutters gave the home a new crisp appearance and increased the home’s overall curb appeal.  The project was done quickly and the site cleaned thoroughly before the last work truck pulled away.  Cathy and James couldn’t have been prouder of the improvements to their home’s exterior.

Summer is on the Way

Summer is fast approaching with graduations and kids getting out for the summer.  Travel plans are in the works.   Even with high gas prices, we still can’t wait to hit the road and visit family and friends.  A weekend at the lake is often just the getaway we need to relax and enjoy the summer.

Weekend at the Lake

This time of year is often the busiest time for Home Repair and Improvements; we see a large influx of calls for all types of projects as soon as school lets out.  Whether it is a new kitchen remodel, outside painting, a new roof, you name it and Quinta is always your best call.  Our professionals install and refinish hardwood floors, lay carpet and tile, and will help you choose the best floor coverings to fit your style and needs.

Bathroom Remodel

Real-estate professionals have long touted the advantages of kitchen and bathroom remodeling.  The “best bang for the buck” can come from an updated kitchen or bath as these are the primary areas of focus for the prospective buyer.  While resale is an obvious motivation, why not look to the enjoyment that a new bathroom or kitchen can provide you and your family now?

Let’s narrow the discussion today to bathrooms; Quinta Contractors is a design/ build firm and thus we are able to aid you in every step required to get to your new bathroom.  The existing bathroom can often times be limited by the original specs of the home which most often never considered the needs and desires of the current homeowner. Cabinetry, like so many other aspects of home renovations is constantly evolving with improvements and additional styles.  Storage can be greatly improved with just the right designed layout.  One my favorite solutions is adding a standing linen cabinet to the layout to get the most out the space.

So, what ideas do you have?  Are you hoping to increase the size of your shower?  We often encounter dark, dingy showers which resemble caves with little or no natural light available and the presence of mold and mildew.  This unsightly mold and mildew is most often caused by the failure of the shower pan (a piece of vinyl which is installed between the foundation and the mortar bed located beneath the shower floor).
