Moments in Masonry

So, who do you call when someone crashes through your brick mailbox late at night?  Well perhaps, the authorities for starters but after that Quinta Contractors.  Our masons have years of experience in everything brick from restoring mailboxes to bricking up new walls for a room addition.

Larry did just that and our crew was able to rebuild his mailbox quickly.  We were able to find brick which matched his existing home very well.  Yet again, in short order we had another satisfied customer.

Bill and Linda needed a brick skirting for their new pool deck.  They had ordered a pool from an online source (which we also installed for them) and need Quinta to excavate the back yard and build up for and pour a concrete slab.  Finally we provided a brick skirting, fence, and low voltage lighting.

Peter and Susan had an office in their home which just did not have enough natural light coming into the room.  What to do?  After much consideration, they determined the addition of a window was the best option.  Once they contacted Quinta, quickly realized they had made the best decision in choosing a contractor.  They have become a voice for spreading the word about the great customer service they received.

Sue’s New Windows

Sue's Windows 1

Sue’s wood windows had become a real problem.  The winters proved to be cool even inside the house if you found yourself near a window.  The upper sash (movable panels) had started to sag and were failing to properly close on two of the upstairs windows.

Wood Grain Laminated Interior - Double Hung

Her home had 14 original wood windows.  The house was now twenty four years old and these drafty windows had to go.  She was impressed with our line of Vinyl Replacement Windows which offered a wood grain laminated interior finish.  This was truly paramount in her decision making as four of her windows were trimmed with stained wood as opposed to the others merely being painted.

Once each set of wood sashes and frames were removed a new Vinyl Replacement Window was  installed in its place.  These new replacement windows were installed from the exterior so that the interior trim remained intact and undisturbed.  The windows were then sealed and wrapped with vinyl coated aluminum on the outside.  A thin coat of caulk was the only interior change.  The exterior color was our standard white as was the interior of the remaining ten windows.

Our Vinyl Replacement Windows come standard with a LowE (Low emissivity – actually low thermal emissivity – is a quality of a surface that radiates, or emits, low levels of radiant thermal (heat) energy) treatment applied to the inside of the outside pane of glass in each sash and Argon (an inert gas, five times more dense than the air we breath) gas for insulation.  These windows offer a limited lifetime warranty.  Call us today for your FREE window assessment.

Tim’s Vinyl Siding

Tim's Vinyl Siding 1

Tim’s home was only four years old when he noticed deterioration on the exterior of his home.  The wood was clearly rotting on the cornice work of his house.  The soffit and fascia portions of his trim work had suffered the most damage from rot.

The house had two dormers on the roof which were also suffering from the elements.   The masonite siding which clad the dormers and the gables had begun to decline as well.  Quinta Contractors, LLC presented Tim with a great solution: Premium Vinyl Siding.

Vinyl siding can be applied over the existing siding which makes it a quick fix for those homes which struggle to endure the elements due to inferior cladding products installed at original construction.  Quinta supplied and installed a vinyl siding “cover all” which included covering the fascia, soffits, brick freeze boards, porch ceilings, all window and door surrounds, and the walls surfaces at the gables and dormers.  The majority of this home was brick and the addition of the vinyl siding made the home’s exterior maintenence-free.

Quinta Contractors, LLC uses materials backed by limited lifetime warranties whenever possible, and this case was no exception.  Insulation was applied to the walls prior to the vinyl siding in order to seal the home as much as possible.  Tim gained the added benefit of the crisp clean look of the vinyl without any of the furture costs of repairs and painting.
