Michelle and Buddy’s New Bathroom

Remodel During Re-construction

The master bathroom remodel was but a part of the whole house remodel for Michelle and Buddy performed by Quinta Contractors, LLC.  Additions were added to increase the size of the dinning room and living area as well as a large storage room.  Michelle’s bathroom retained the same footprint but gained an entirely new look.

Buddy’s New Custom Bath Tub

Tile was removed from the existing floor and shower.  The bath tub was removed as well.  Plans called for a new jetted bath tub.  In fact, the jacuzzi bath tub was custom made to seat two and included a granite tub deck to match the new granite counter tops.

Buddy’s Remodeled Shower

The new shower walls and ceiling received Travertine tumbled marble 4″x4″ tile on a diagonal pattern.  Travertine tile also adorned the wall border with matching pencil trim.  An arched door way was created to add more definition to the overall design.

Michelle selected polished chrome for the finish on the tub, sink, and shower fixtures. The existing cabinet height was increased by 4″ and then we resurfaced the cabinets.  Custom doors were fabricated for the front side of the bath tub to match the refaced cabinets.  New lighting changes included  recessed or can lighting in the ceiling.  Crown molding and new wallpaper completed the bathroom remodel by our professional craftsmen at Quinta.

Betsy and Ray’s Master Bathroom Remodel

Betsy and Ray's Master Bathroom

Betsy and Ray’s farm house style home which is situated on 6 acres in Eads, TN, was built in 1991.  They had been planning for some time to have the master bathroom remodeled.  Now, they have a bathroom which suits their taste and has loads of visual appeal.

Bathroom During Demolition

We started by gutting the room; we removed all the cabinets, flooring, shower stall, and bathtub.  This is one of the larger bathrooms we have worked on and the original shower had been on of the smallest I have in contrast.  The footprint was changed to accommodate the enlarged shower and the new cabinets included his and hers pantry units for extra storage.

The floor tile had been a white and pink checkerboard pattern which had become an eyesore for the homeowners.  Earth tones were selected throughout the new color scheme, including a marbled ceramic tile for the floor which was carried into the shower.  Oil rubbed bronze trim on the frameless shower glass combined with the new plumbing fixtures complimented the darker mocha glaze applied to the cabinets.  This theme was repeated in the darker bronze handles and pulls of the cabinetry as well as the lighting fixtures.

The new granite counter tops and tub deck served to bring in the broadest array of the medium and dark earth tones used in this room.  The diamond pattern of the tile shower border was installed to continue as the back splash for the new counter tops.  The mirrors Betsy chose have a stone like frame adding to the natural feel created in this bathroom.

Finally the previously stained doors were painted in the same oil based color as the trim to help lighten the look of the room.  The end result was a bathroom to proudly showcase in this beautiful country home.  Yet, another satisfied customer for Quinta Contractors, LLC.
